On September 1-5, 2024, the CANDHy project participated in the European Corrosion Congress – EUROCORR 2024, which took place in Paris, France.
EUROCORR congress brings together corrosion experts from universities, research associations and the industry to address all aspects of corrosion science, technology, and engineering. Under this year’s theme “A step forward in societal awareness of material degradation issues” the program included plenary lectures, keynote speeches, oral and poster presentations as well as workshops.
CANDHy project partner Prof. Marina Cabrini from the University of Bergamo made a short presentation on ‘Hydrogen Solubility determination in spheroidal cast iron’ providing an overview of the European natural gas distribution grid and touching upon the matter of hydrogen diffusion and embrittlement of cast iron. The presentation was based on the project’s preliminary results.
